I also wear a size 10 14k college ring on my right hand, which dents very easily and also scratches very easily. After I got the ring, I tried it on and it fit very well, if just a tad large. However, I needed to lose some weight for the wedding...and after losing about 10 pounds, the ring is now a little on the large size. I can shake my hand and it comes off fairly easily. I would much rather have had a 9.5 rather than a 10, but the lack of half sizes makes me hesitate a bit. I may order a 9 just to see how it fits. The comfort fit makes the sizing a little tricky. Others that have owned the tungsten carbide silver rings have commented endlessly about how scratch-free the material is, so I expect this ring to be no different.
In short, the gold color is very rich (almost a 24k gold in color), the sizing is a little tricky, the ring is heavy and feels very nice. Be sure you have long fingers or very large hands if you choose the 9mm size.
Follow up: ordered the size 9 and it is definitely too small. The popularity of this ring is definitely hampered by its utter and total lack of half sizes. Be advised that Perry Olsen has a 20% restock fee on all purchases, so be careful of your ring size the first time around. The second ring arrived in a totally different box and was not mounted in it at all, making me think that Perry Olsen is not a company but just some guy working out of his basement selling jewelry store cast-offs??? Not sure.
